Introduction

 

This series of factsheets lists data sources and associated hyperlinks to relevant websites. Although this is a pork related factsheet most websites contain data for all species as well as crops and other food products. To go to the desired website click on the internet links provided in the third column of the references. Some websites offer the opportunity to do a more search defining specific products, time frames, etc.

 

Objectives

  • Locate U.S. Census of Agricultural and state and county data
  • Locate production and consumption information of agricultural commodities
  • Locate estimated costs of production for livestock and crops
  • Locate prepared charts of the pig inventories, operations, farrowing, etc., in the U.S.
  • Locate information on food composition and consumption
